Hey, I’m Derek Sinclair, the photographer behind Project X-T3 — a name built from the camera that started it all. I’m based out of East Tennessee, right in the Smoky Mountains.

For me, photography isn’t about posing people or chasing trends. It’s about catching the real stuff — the light that hits just right, the quiet moments that most people miss, the feeling you get when you look back and remember exactly where you were.

I shoot everything from travel and lifestyle to landscapes and editorial work, blending color and emotion into images that tell stories on their own. Every photo is edited by hand, built from scratch, and finished with the same care I’d give my own memories.

Whether I’m climbing a trail with my camera, shooting city lights, or documenting life as it happens, the goal stays the same — to create work that feels real.

P.S. My pricing is super simple. Since I do both Photo & Video projects ranging from headshots, weddings, events, birthdays, family shoots, travel content, holiday events, concerts, elopements, commercial, real estate, and more, I’ve decided to just start charging a simple hourly rate for my time of boots on the ground + editing fee for my editing team.
